Bobby Furst Needs our Help

A man who "wowed" thousands!

In December, 2019 Bobby underwent a successful surgery for a small tumor found on his lung.  No chemo or radiation was needed. So he was sent home to heal. But, instead of healing, his health took a turn for the worse. He began to experience high fevers, lost a great deal of weight, and got very weak. It has been a frustrating few months of going between home and being rushed to ER almost weekly.  At one time we were told that he may have Q fever, a disease which one contracts from goats. Something was wrong, Bobby was dying right before our eyes and doctors couldn’t figure out why.  With the help of good friends, Barnett and Tim Chinook Bobby was finally transferred to Loma Linda Hospital. He was immediately placed in the ICU, and is now getting the care he needs and the mystery of his condition solved.

About October 2019 A lump started forming on Bobby’s neck which after a month or two of self monitoring he went to check it out.  It was around that time that they found the tumor on his lung. Surgery for the lung was scheduled and all went well. But the lump on his neck still remained a mystery and no one could tell us what it was.  The prescribed medicines  for the fevers caused stomach problems - which in turn, led to more problems. Still the lump on the neck and why he was so ill and weakening so rapidly remained a mystery.

Finally a diagnosis came, thanks to the professional and compassionate healers at Loma Linda hospital!   It is with sad courage that we report that Bobby has Lymphoma.  Lymphoma must be treated with chemo and radiation.

This will put Bobby out of work for another 4 months or so. As we all know, Bobby is a self sufficient entity who makes his money as an artist, a carpenter, a builder of quonset huts, renovator of houses and motels - you name it. Since December 2019 he has been unable to work as a result of these health issues.  Like many creatives Bobby lives from paycheck to paycheck. Now not only has he not been unable to work but the co pays on Dr’s visits, ER, ambulance rides, hospital rooms, blood transfusion, ICU, specialists and prescribed treatments are mounting.

We are coming together as a community to support Bobby through these troubling times. We ask you to please contribute how ever much is comfortable to help us get to our goal of $100,000. This money will help Bobby over the greatest hurdle of his life and give him peace of mind while recovering from the treatment he now has to undergo. It will also help to save Furstwurld Theater and Gallery for the performing arts which is Bobby’s gift to us all.

It is the least we can do for a man who has tirelessly served the community with all his heart, mind and body and whose great work has nourished and inspired thousands of people world wide!

Bobby is King!

Thank you

May love lift you up.
