Fire Fighters Charity Ladder Carry
Donation protected
Thank you for looking at my page!
I have been busy setting up a Charity Walk through both fire services I work for, looking to raise money for the Fire Fighters Charity and another cause that I will explain about shortly.
The event will take place on Saturday 26th September 2020 with a start time of 11.00 at Shoreham Fire Station. The walk should be finished approximately 15.00 at Brighton Palace Pier.
The crews will be carrying a 13.5m fire service ladder weighing 100kg on the route which totals around 10 miles!
Some of the crew will also be wearing BA sets.
There will be a fire engine accompanying the crews so look out for us!
Crews from both Norbury Green Watch (London Fire Brigade) and Shoreham Retained (West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service) will be taking part, walking to Brighton via Southwick Square, Boundary Road (Hove), George Street (Hove) and the seafront (A259).
A map of the route will be added to the pictures on this page nearer the time.
The Fire Fighters Charity support the mental, physical and social needs of all serving and retired members of the UK’s fire family.
The other half of the money raised will be going to another cause close to my heart.
Our wonderful Mum, Debby, was recently diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer which as you can imagine has broken the hearts of everybody who knows and loves her.
We have been told that she has 3 to 6 months left with us so we want her to do all the things she wants to do during the upcoming weeks.
In Mum's style, she has been laughing and joking and kept her chin up throughout these horrible few weeks, what a true inspiration she is and someone who my sister and I are incredibly proud to call our beautiful Mum.
She is currently working on a bucket list, for example Afternoon Tea and getting her first tattoo! She is no longer working and these things unfortunately have a cost.
I am just asking you for a little donation that will go towards helping my mum enjoy the next few months as much as possible and that will help the Fire Fighters Charity continue their amazing work with not only fire fighters but their families also.
We thank you with all our hearts in advance for helping us.
Lots of love
