Help Maenisha Jones on her road to recovery
Donation protected
Hello everyone, I’m writing this on behalf of Maenisha Jones and her family. This is the only official fundraiser that has been organized in her name.
On August 31st, Mae was involved in a hit and run accident that left her in critical condition, fighting for her life.
The man who hit her midsized SUV was driving a stolen Ford F-150 pickup truck. The impact of the crash sent Mae’s vehicle through a utility pole and into the side of a house. The driver subsequently fled the scene of the accident, leaving Mae mangled inside of her totaled SUV.
The next day, news outlets reported police arrested the driver of the stolen truck. However, because the truck is stolen the owners likely will not be held responsible for the accident. While we are grateful the man who has compromised Mae’s life is facing several criminal charges, we wish she wasn’t in this predicament at all.
Mae is a passionate educator, dedicating her life to teaching Kansas City’s inner-city youth. She was on her way to work when the crash took place.
Mae has a long road to recovery ahead. And while she is slowly but surely improving, she may not be able to get back to her classroom for an extended period of time. We wanted to set this fund up to raise money to assist Mae with any of her financial obligations while she remains in the hospital, and to help her when she goes home.
If you know Mae, you know she is a conqueror. She will get through this.
Anything you contribute will be greatly appreciated. Prayers are powerful, please continue to lift her up in prayer.
09/07 Update: We have increased the goal for our girl this morning. Everyone has been so generous over the past week. We want to do as much as we can to ease financial burdens for Mae. Please continue to share this campaign
