Sarah’s Road to Recovery

Hello everyone. Thank  you for taking the time to read.  As most of you know my sister Sarah has been in Mexico since January 2020.  When covid hit Sarah decided to stay in Mexico as she has a blood auto immune disease, she thought it would be safer to stay put.  Two weeks ago Sarah was rushed to hospital in excruciating pain and taken in to an emergency surgery. Due to unforeseen complications during surgery Sarah was put in to an induced coma. Sarah was in an induced coma in the ICU for 7 days. Once Sarah had stabilised her sedation was gradually lifted over a couple of days. Sarah is currently in a covid free hospital in a general ward while still receiving medical treatment. Leaving Sarah to wake up to a great deal of financial hardship. Currently the hospital bill stands roughly at $85 000AU. It is absolutely paramount that Sarah continues her recovery in a covid free hospital. At the moment we are unsure how long Sarah will need to be in hospital, but we are also thinking a little further into the future of on going medical costs and much further In to the future, a safe return home. To those of you who are unable to relieve financial pressure we are reaching out to you and ask that you share Sarah’s story.
