Debbie Allen's Summer Intensive

Hello Family and friends, my name is Amena Durant.  I'm 18 years old and I love dance. I started dancing when I was a little girl at Pine Camp Cultural arts center and from there I knew I was destined to be a dancer. I further my dancing and attended Center for the arts high school for dance, danced with a Aztec danza group in Colorado for a summer, took dance classes like Afro beat, heels dancing and more at studios in New York. Now, I dance for Taaluma Tour company, an African dance company. I currently attend Virginia Commonwealth University  in Richmond, Va, where I major in Dance and Choreography.






Recently I auditioned for Debbie Allen's summer dance intensive and got chosen to the partake of this opportunity . The intensive program is located in LA and/or GA. This is a great opportunity to develop my dance skills and improve my technique while training with some of the best professionals in the world. I have set up a gofundme account to accept donations.
