Helping Conseula's Family
Donation protected
So many of us are grieving for our friend Conseula Francis, who died May 9 after a brief illness. This fund will help her family with medical costs and their travel to Louisiana for Conseula's funeral. Brian has graciously agreed to allow us to help her family in this way. If there is any money left over, it can go to the 529k education accounts that have been set up for Frances and Cate, Brian and Conseula's daughters.
For those of you who'd like to contribute to the family's short-term needs, please consider a donation of any size to this fund, which will go to Brian McCann. All of us who knew Conseula knew the vastness of her love for Brian, Frances, and Cate. This fund lets us help her express that love and support for the three people who are now missing her most.
Brian had initially asked that people contribute only to the girls' education funds, but there are significant short-term expenses, so both kinds of help are very welcome. Of course the education fund is a very important cause for those who are able and wish to donate to it, in any amount. [Also tax deductible for SC income tax purposes.] Checks should be made out to “Future Scholar 529 Savings Plan.” Write “50% Frances, 50% Catherine McCann” in the note section of your check. This will allow the funds to be split between the two girls’ accounts. Please send checks to Larry Krasnoff in the Department of Philosophy, College of Charleston, Charleston SC, 29424.
Thanks for your support of this wonderful family.
