My name is Kirat Randhawa and I created this fundraising page in support of Street Child who I will be volunteering with in Sierra Leone in West Africa.
I am about to embark upon a life changing journey - a chance to truly help change people's lives for the better. I'm volunteering with Street Child UK to help distribute positivity, creativity and knowledge whilst supporting local communities in the daily aid that they need. Together, we'll be providing an opportunity for the children in the community to be immersed in a learning environment where they can both learn and play whilst actually live like children. Through after-school activities, physical sports and creative components, I'll be working directly with the children to ensure that despite their traumatic pasts, their future is much brighter.
ALL the money raised will be going towards the Girls Speak Out appeal that aims to raise £1 million to ensure that more than 20,000 children can go to school and remain in education. All educated children will benefit from these donations as it increases better family planning and healthier lifestyles in the future. From now until 17th July 2016 all donations to our Girls Speak Out Appeal will be doubled pound for pound by the UK government > http://www.street-child.co.uk/girlsspeakout. My funds are needed before November 1st 2016, but the sooner I reach my goal, the increased chance I have of donating more towards the appeal.
I would be incredibly thankful for anyone who would be willing to donate to support Street Child UK + the local communities over in West Africa. This would allow me to complete my mission successfully and alter my exterior perspective forever.
