Build a ramp for Daniel Sharkey!
Donation protected
Since I met Daniel Sharkey he has been one of the most giving individuals I’ve ever known. For the last five years of our friendship he has given hours upon hours of time and labor helping out his community. Whether it’s running games at the Camp Columbus Labor Day Picnic, ushering at the masses that are hard to get ushers at, being the first to show up and get the fryers going for Lenten fish fries, or giving the homeless blankets after Midnight Mass on Christmas, Daniel has been a model of charity in action. It’s time for the community to give back.
Daniel recently had a section of his foot amputated and is no longer able to climb the stairs to get into his home. His elderly mother has been helping him, but her back is starting to bother her. They are both on fixed incomes and can’t afford the expenses to have a ramp installed. My goal is to raise the funds to buy the materials to build a ramp for this kind soul. The Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul have offered to help with the costs, but I want to lesson the burden on our parish as much as possible. Southern Grove Construction has offered to build the ramp to code if we pay for the materials. Please consider giving whatever you can.
