A Fathers Legacy Richard Williams

Donation protected
Loss of life is never easy. A mother, a father, a brother, a girlfriend and their child not to mention a host of other family and friends must now say goodbye to Richard Williams. Heartbroken by this senseless act of violence, we are asking for your help. It is difficult raising a child with two parents, but now RJ only has one. We are asking as a community of family and friends that we come together and help to support this little loving 5 month old baby RJ. No amount is too small. Give from your heart, God will definitely do the returning.

Compton is the birthplace of gangsta rap complimented by a history of crime and is home to the only bullet-proof drive thru funeral home in the State of California where nearly 2 out of 3 killers get away with murder.  Most are victimized for nothing more than the unknown.  The wrong skin color, being in the wrong neighborhood, or just simply wearing the wrong color shoes or hat.

Richard was a 24 year old young man who enjoyed mixing music, playing Xbox, while spending time with friends and family.  If there was one person who thought outside the box, it was definitely Richard. He had a host of ideas yet, was always a very private person.  Although Richard had a career in the Utility industry, he had recently expressed a desire to return to flight school to acquire his license.  Richard also recently became a father to 5 month old Richard Jr whom he loved endlessly.  He wanted the best for RJ. He wanted his son to be a successful and productive person who wanted for nothing.

On Sunday, May 15, 2016, Richard left home to spend the day with friends.  The events leading up to his death include a trip to the local gas station which would prove to be his final destination.  Shortly before existing the parking lot, Richard and his friends were met with a halo of gunfire.  Unfortunatley, Richard succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the crime.

Young African American men all over the nation are faced with challenges that are disadvantageous.  It is important that we instill the same confidence in RJ eyes that his father envisioned.  Heartbroken by this senseless act of violence, we are asking for your help in securing RJ with the opportunities to become the successful individual his father so ever dreamed he'd become.

Lets keep this legacy alive in RJ. We ask that you donate. No amount is too small, give the gift of love...
