Jesenia's Mended Heart Fund

Jesenia was born on 4/13/16 at 4:38pm at 5lbs 11oz. On 4/14/16 what Alex & I throught was a routine echo check up, became one of our worst nightmares. Jesenia was diagnosed with a Congenital Heart Defect called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS). This condition occurs in up to four out of 10,000 live births, and is fatal without a series of open heart surgeries in the upcoming months/years. Jesenia had her 1st surgery (Norwood Procedure) on 4/18/16 at just 5 days old, and will have her 2nd surgery this upcoming Aug. In addition to the emotional impact this will have on our family, it will also have a big financial impact. Alex and I both work full-time, but know that will not be possible once Jesenia comes home. Donations would help tremendously with her medical expenses. We know that time is the sweetest thing we will have with our little girl, and with the help of family and friends, we will be able to spend more of those precious moments with Jesenia before we are forced to go back to work.
