Help Me Get Custody of My Son

Hello everyone! As skeptical as I feel about starting a GoFundMe, I’m desperate for money to go towards legal help for custody of my Son, Carter. I have a case manager and a team that’s ready to help me fight this battle in court, however the fees are a little too much at the moment for me and my husband to take on our own. (Side note, my husband is not his biological father. He came in his life at the age of 2.) A little back story to help you all understand our situation. Carter is 7 years old. I’ve taken care of him by myself (with help from my family) since I gave birth to him until now. I recently got back in contact with his biological father. Allowing phone calls, video chats, physical visits, weekend sleepovers, and more recently (if he met certain conditions) living with him for the school year. Together we wrote a parental agreement and had it notarized by the bank to help solidify our agreement so there wouldn’t be any issues. However, his biological father has broken several things from our agreement and my son has ONLY been living with him for 2 weeks! Legally, I have to take him to court for not honoring our agreement and that’s why I’m here today. I can’t bring my son back home to me without dishonoring the agreement myself. His biological Father lied about having a place to stay by not moving my son into the home he was visiting for a year (his dad is basically couch hopping. Living with friends). He lied about having a stable job and now he’s trying to leave state when in our agreement that’s a HUGE no no. I’ve asked him to let my son come back home to me (he gets weekends again) until he has his own place and a stable job but he’s refusing. I’ve told him that he hasn’t kept up his end of our agreement and he’s basically told me he doesn’t care and I need to “serve him papers” (take him to court). I’m desperate to get help to bring my son back home into a stable environment where his guardians are on the lease, have a stable job, and he has his own room and bed to sleep in! My son is not comfortable in this new home. He has expressed that he doesn’t have his own bed anymore and he doesn’t understand why he has to live there. He’s had a HUGE shift in his emotions and behavior. Please donate, every cent will be going towards our legal fees. Help me get custody of my son and bring him back home.
