Mr. Godwrench Jackson Ky. Outreach

Our names are Tim & Marthan Ellison of Mr. Godwrench Automotive Ministries of West Chester,Ohio.  Since 2011 we have been traveling annually to The Happy Church in the Eastern Appalachian Mountains of Jackson, Ky. to do free oil changes for some of the most impoverished folk in the US. When trying to explain the conditions of Jackson to people who have never been there, I tell them  “it's like a part of the country that the world has forgotten about”. We went there with our friend Jerry Reiner of Project 52 several years ago, and our lives have not been the same since ! Our eyes were opened and our hearts were grieved to see folk struggling with the simpletest things that we take for granted everyday. One of those simple things was an oil and filter change, for some that would be a luxury. This is where Mr. Godwrench comes in. We plan on performing over 150 free oil changes on September 24 of this year.  Not only will we be servicing all those vehicles, but we will be giving away to a predetermined needy family a late model Buick SUV. This Buick will be in need of nothing and in tip top shape. Being a good testimony includes blessing someone with a vehicle that does not need any repairs to make their life much less stressful. On top of the free oil change and free SUV, we plan to have a huge kids outreach on Friday night September 23rd. This will includes food, games, bouncy house, etc. Unless you have had the “Jackson Experience” you can not completely understand the joy it brings us to show the love of Christ through Mr. Godwrench.  The hard fact is, to pull off this kind of outreach it takes a lot of time, planning, manpower and several thousand dollars. You might not be able to go with us to Jackson, but you can help partner with us to help fund this major event. Mr. Godwrench was born in 2009 with a $2500 investment and a one stall garage. Marthan and I had a vision to help the hurting and needy by giving them a hand up and not a hand out. We completely understood, because we  were  both meth addicts. “But God” changed our heart and gave us a brand new life. This SUV will be well over 30 cars we have given away, along with hundreds of free oil changes in 3 states. We have helped countless single parents, widows, hurting and needy people with all kinds of automotive needs. All because God gave us another chance and a vision. When you give to our cause, you can rest assured that we have been proven, tried and tested and your money will go to further the cause of Christ. In 2014 Mr Godwrench, owner Tim Ellison, came to the Happy Church to bless the little eastern Kentucky community, They came down with the goal of doing over 100 oil changes, to give away a beautiful used van to a local family of seven, and be a light representing Jesus Christ. To help them in this grand plan, River Church, also from the Cincinnati area, came to provide food, fun, and more spiritual contact. It was a fantastic day!
