Eli Tennant Education Fund 2019

The Eli Tennant Education Fund was established to honor the memory of our pastor, mentor, father to many and an inspirational leader who taught us that although we were children who lived in the ghetto we did not have to mix with the slime. Daddy T, as we affectionately called him helped us learned to dream and believe that we could achieve anything in life if we stayed in school and worked hard. His encouragement and belief in us paved the way for many to achieve goals that were unimaginable before he came into our lives.
It is his passion and the belief in giving children an opportunity to succeed that is the driving force behind this Scholarship Fund. Our aim is to provide access to children who are brilliant but whose parents lack the means to send them to school an opportunity to realize their potential and have a positive impact on our global community.
Sometimes we bemoan the plight of the poor and complain about the state of the communities that seem to breed those we label undesirable because there seems to be no hope that they will get better. My hope is that you will join us in sowing the seeds that will grow and lead to the change that we want to see. As someone who grew up without a father in the ghetto I know firsthand how challenging it is to get out. For me been involved in a church and having someone like Daddy T show genuine interest in me by challenging me to stay in school made the difference. Please help us keep kids off the street and in school. Invest in them today so we don't have to rehabilitate them tomorrow. God bless.
