Make a Miracle Max

I am not one to do type of thing but, at this point, I need all the support and love I can get. On March 21, 2016, my best friend and rescue german shepherd dog, Drako, suddenly passed away. Drako was a little under 2 years old and honestly, the best companion I could ever ask for. My heart has been broken since this tragedy and, I miss him everyday. At the beginning of May, I was feeling on top of the world! My boyfriend had surprised me and told me he had gotten me a german shepherd puppy for my 25th birthday. On May 6, 2016, I embarked on a 2 hour journey to pick up my new four-legged friend, Max. Since this day, I have been so overjoyed with love. As much as I miss Drako, having Max these past 2 weeks has allowed my heart to begin to heal. Last night, on May 17, 2016, I received the worse phone call I have gotten since March 21.... Max was struggling to breathe and was being taken to the pet ER. As of early this morning, Max seemed to be doing better; however, this afternoon Max has taken a turn for the worse. His lungs have filled with fluid and he is struggling to breathe. Although the outlook looks grim, I am remaining hopeful and praying for a miracle. I am praying that Max will make it through this not only for me, but for his sister, Bella, whom also is a puppy and his new best friend. As the vet bill continues to climb, I am asking if you can spare pennies, dimes, nickels, quarters, dollars.... whatever you can! Anything is greatly appreciated. I am a nurse whom works night shift. Unfortunately I had to call out of work this evening due to this tragic event, I cannot afford to take off work but, sometimes... life happens. I will update you on Max through the next 24 hours to see if we can get a better idea of where he is headed. Again, thank you in advance for taking the time to read my story and share your well wishes, thoughts, and prayers. Although I am an animal lover, I am a lover of humanity as well, and, I believe in the greater good of all humans, especially, in the time of need. Thank you!
