25 Murphs Memorial Day Weekend

Hello everyone. My name is Michael Kostantakis and I am a personal trainer out of Lightning Fitness in South Windsor, Connecticut. I'm just a guy striving to be great, and on a personal journey to make a great impact in this world. Throughout my years of dedicating my time and energy into training, I've always set out very high goals for myself. After my father passed away in July of 2019 I began doing challenges in honor of him, myself, and God. Some things I have done with minimal or no training at all was running 65 miles on my high school track in 18 hours, doing over 24,000 pushups in 28 hours and my most recent challenge in honor of my grand father was 5,000 pullups in 26 hours.
I tell you all of this not to brag or simply make myself seem bigger or better than I actually am. I feel within my heart and soul I have a duty to use this great power of enduring pain and using it for the good of man kind. That is why I wanted to set out a goal of doing 25 Murphs this Memorial Day weekend. If you are unfamiliar with the Murph workout, it is a 1 mile run followed by 100 pullups, 200 pushups, 300 squats, and another 1 mile run in a 20 pound weight vest. I was inspired by Michael Murphy's heroic actions during Operation Red Wing in 2005 where Michael along with 3 other Navy Seals, Matthew Axelson, Danny Dietz, and Marcus Luttrell fought a hard battle against the Taliban. Michael stepped into the open during the gun battle to make the call in an effort to save his men.
Why am I doing this? During my Ayahuasca retreat back in February, I had a calling from above to go on this journey and give back to our fallen and current warriors within the United States Military. I have trained the Murph for 90 days adding weight upwards to 70 pounds on my vest, in an effort to master this workout. All of my challenges and Murph sessions had lead me to this moment to give back to the greater good by doing what I do best. Enduring the pain I get to feel this Memorial Day Weekend. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Michael Murphy Foundation. The first Murph workout of the day will be live on WFSB at 10 a.m and I will resume the rest at Lightning Fitness. I will be posting on my instgram story during the challenge so if you would like to follow along, my instagram is @mikekostantakis. Thank you for taking the time out of your day to be with me on this journey. I appreciate you all. I Will Get The Job Done. Whatever It Takes. God Bless.
