RUNNING 250 KILOMETERS FOR USMC SCOUT SNIPER ASSOCIATION

Tax deductible

In April, I’m running 250 KILOMETERS across the SAHARA DESERT.

The MARATHON DES SABLES is the TOUGHEST FOOTRACE ON EARTH—a multi-day, self-supported ultra-marathon through the unforgiving Sahara, where temperatures soar past 120°F, sandstorms rip through the course, and every ounce of food, gear, and water must be carried on my back.

Why? Because this year marks the 250th birthday of the United States Marine Corps—250 years of brotherhood, violence against those who threaten America, and the willingness to lay down our lives for the country we love.

Not every fight ends on the battlefield. Some come later—off the grid, out of uniform, in silence. The USMC Scout Sniper Association steps in when no one else does.

I’m running to raise funds for the SSA—a nonprofit that takes care of Scout Snipers and their families. Every dollar raised goes to the SSA. I’m covering my own race expenses.

I grew up in a Scout Sniper Platoon. My former team leader, Johnathan Taylor, now runs the SSA—still taking care of his Scout Sniper community.

How the SSA Makes a Difference:
  • Direct Support for Snipers & Their Families – Financial assistance, mentorship, mental health support, and VA claims guidance.
  • Helping Families – Supporting spouses and children beyond service.
  • Preserving the Scout Sniper Legacy – Sponsoring reunions, mentorship programs, and a world-class shooting team to keep our heritage alive.

But We Can Do Even More

With Your Help, the SSA Can:
  • Provide greater financial support for transitioning veterans navigating life after service.
  • Fund scholarships for snipers and their families.
  • Strengthen long-term assistance programs for those in crisis.

We can make an impact right NOW. Tyler Harbert’s wife, Tamika, is battling stage 4 cancer. SSA has raised $31,000 to-date, but the fight isn’t over.

A portion of the proceeds we raise will go directly to supporting this Scout Sniper and his family during their time of need.

The Scout Sniper motto is: “Suffer Patiently, Patiently Suffer.” But nowhere does it say you have to suffer alone. Let’s come together for Tyler and Tamika.

THIS IS WHERE WE COME IN:

If you support our warriors, step up. Donate. Share. Every dollar counts. The SSA has done incredible work with limited resources. Now, let’s pour fuel on the fire.

Every dollar counts. Join me in supporting the SSA and the Harbert family by donating here!
