Bill's Road to Recovery

Hi everyone, we are starting this fundraiser on behalf of our father, Bill Blair. Chances are that if you're reading this, you probably know us or Bill. Whether it be through friendship, work, family, or somewhere in between. Our dad is always willing to lend a helping hand whenever he is needed, although this time it is he who needs the helping hand.

In the early morning hours of Wednesday, June 28th, just days after his 61st birthday, Bill was taken to the emergency room after he did not show up for work that day. It was later discovered that he has a subdural hematoma on his brain, which was caused by a sudden stroke. He has multiple blood clots as well, which has caused damage to his speech, cognition, and short-term memory.

Bill is currently hospitalized in the Neuro ICU at Loyola University Medical Center just outside of Chicago.

Despite the fact that he is awake, alert, and able to communicate, there will be an extensive recovery period over the next few months. He will need multiple forms of physical, occupational, and speech therapy. During this healing and rehabilitation process, Bill will be unable to work. We are humbly asking for assistance and support through your donations to cover medical and other living expenses that Bill will incur. This will help him focus his energy on getting better and it will lighten the load that unforeseen medical emergencies can bring.
