RESCUE ROBERT

Hello, my name is Christy Ann-Rice Maldonado, I am reaching out to my Family, Friends, Community and anyone who finds it in their heart to show their support for our RESCUE ROBERT fund. Our family has had a rough run this holiday season. It started out on December 7th when I fell in a parking lot and shattered my knee. Then we found out we had to get married in order to reinstate our medical Ins. policy so I would be covered again for surgery. We applied for our marriage license on December 9th we had plans to load me up in the car wheelchair and all and sign the physical paperwork on December 12th. December 10th Saturday morning Robert was driving my car to work at the Harley Davidson Dealership to change the oil during his lunch break so the oil light would reset. Tragically just minutes from his work he had a massive stroke and crashed. Thankfully no one else was involved. He was then rushed to the ICU where he currently rests still fighting for his life. He has had a Major Life Saving Bone Flap Surgery to reduce swelling to his Brain Stem, a Peg G-Tube put in his stomach to sustain nutrients. He is currently battling Pneumonia and two other different infections. He has been running crazy high through the roof temperatures. They had him on cooling pads for days. It has been very difficult for family and friends to visit him due to thier distance and their own medical issues. His daughter got married a week after his stroke. He wanted to walk her down the isle. We also had to celebrate his 44th Birthday in the ICU and both his children's b-days as well. Sadly long with the whole Holiday Season. We will also be Celebrating our 6th Year Anniversary January 3rd. The Ins will not pay for my damages on my car so it isn't drivable at this time to help get me to and from the hospital. I am still in need of surgery myself and in a wheelchair and it's very hard to get me in and out of my home and car so I'm not able to be at his bedside 24/7 as I should be. That has been the most challenging and heartbreaking part of this whole experience. I'm desperately trying to obtain any resources in the local community that could help us in through our toughest times. I am unable to work due to my injuries my bosses have been so kind to help out as much as they can but I'm afraid that I may be temporarily laid of from my position of 11 [email redacted]. We have faith that God knows best and we'll help guide us through these hard times to many blessings in the future.
Please send your loving thoughts prayers, and support any way that you can. It will be greatly appreciated and genuinely necessary.
