In memory of Dioscora Cabillan Paghubasan
Donation protected
Hello Everyone my name is Robert I am the grandson of Cora and the son of Loygie,
During this time our family is experiencing financial hardship.
We are not a family to ask for any handouts or donations but with life comes unexpected situations.
Our beloved 'Cora who is a Mother, Sister, Grandmother and even Great-Grandmother has recently passed due to a sudden and severe stroke.
This event turned our family's world upside-down in the blink of an eye.
We are planning to do memorial services the last weekend of September 2020
We are asking for donation and fundraising to provide a meaningful memorial for her as most of us in the family have had little employment hours and/or laid off due to the current pandemic and any additional funding that surpasses the funeral cost will go towards her husband Gregorio Paghubasan's medical expenses for current and future care as she was also his sole caretaker.
Anything donated will be forever appreciated by the Paghubasan family.
Below is just a little background information regarding our beloved 'Cora.
Born in Calubian, Leyte on August 29, 1952, this is where Dioscora's life started. She grew up in the Visayas area and married Gregorio A. Paghubasan in 1969. Together they raised 7 kids Loygie, Alvin, Allan, Ray, Ivy, Joven, and Jerick. The married couple were later petitioned and arrived in Las Vegas to live the American Dream back in 1997.
In America, she worked at our previous Filipino market and continued to provide care for other friends and families in need. After her youngest son went through a severe surgery, she became his primary care provider up til now.
Shortly later, Dioscora and her family developed financial hardship, but even with her physical drawbacks, she was able to provide what she could for her husband and kids. Unfortunately, she was refused health insurance due to pre-existing conditions, but no matter what, she fought through life being a diabetic and having high cholesterol. She even survived a rare quadruple bypass surgery a few years ago.
On September 11th 2020 she suffered a severe stroke, she went with God on September 16th.
Along with her own family, she leaves behind 10 grand children. Dioscora was a very loving and caring mother, grandma, and great grandmother.. the best and most genuine you could ever ask for.
