Help Gwen beat Colon Cancer

UPDATE-My name is Brittany, mother Roxanne Vaughn started this campaign for her best friend Gwen. Roxanne has recently passed away from her battle with Ovarian cancer. Gwen is a close family friend to our family. I wanted to update this page for my mother and Gwen. Gwen underwent surgery yesterday to remove some of the cancer. She is in recovery now at the hospital, but will be hospitalized for some time during her recovery. Prior to surgery she had 6 weeks of radiation, which help shrink the tumor to allow them to operate. Following Gwens recovery from surgery she will begin chemo. It is my hope to spread this campaign out again to help her financially during her recovery and chemo. Gwen is self employed and will be unable to work during her recovery. Any financial assistance we can give her will help take the stress off her so she can focus on recovery. Thank you all for your help! Gwen is an amazing woman, Mom, friend, and so close to our hearts! We love you Gwen!

My name is Roxanne Vaughn and Gwen Russell, one of my closest girlfriends has been diagnosed with colon cancer. Our hope is to help her in her fight by reducing the financial stress so she can focus on healing.
Gwen was diagnosed on Wednesday May 18th with colon cancer. 4 years ago she was given a second chance at life after successfully recovering from a brain aneurysm. It was a long recovery and she has been through so much to this point. It is devastating to receive news that she has been diagnosed with colon cancer.
Gwen is self-employed and unfortunately does not have insurance. Due to the recent news we are hoping to help any way we can, so she can seek treatment as quick as possible.
Gwen is a very strong person. She continues to have such a positive attitude even after the recent diagnosis. She is a fighter with a very strong will to live. Please help Gwen reduce the financial stress, so she can focus on what really matters... Getting healthy so she can spend time with her loved ones and continue to bring a smile to everyone she meets.
