Mom of 4 Fighting Cancer

Affectionately known to all her friends as Liz, and to family as Beth, she is a 33 year old hard working mom to four young kids, who heard the worst news possible. “You have cancer” In February 2018 she discovered a lump in her right thigh, when she was pregnant with baby #3. She went to the doctors, who told her it was a cyst and they decided to wait until the baby was born to do anything. When her daughter Sawyer was born in August 2018 the lump was gone, which led the doctors to believe even more that it was a cyst that had corrected itself, so they left it alone. Fast forward to February 2020 when the mass reappeared. She went to doctors again, and they once again told her it was a cyst but decided to run several scans. That’s when they noticed an 11mm by 10.5 mm mass in her right thigh. At this time she was pregnant with baby #4, so doctors again decided to wait until after she born to do anything this time. August 31st 2020 the mass was finally removed and sent to the Mayo Clinic for testing. On September 15th 2020 the results came back as high-grade myxoid liposarcoma. CANCER. As of September 19th she has been referred to Dana-Farber/ Brigham & Women’s Cancer Center for treatment. She is currently waiting on a CT scan to make sure that it didn’t spread. She will then need atleast two more surgeries on her leg as well as radiation. All donations will go towards travel to and from Boston for herself and her Fiancé Adam, as well as lodging and food for the stay. All other donations will be used for Medical bills that insurance doesn’t cover as well as any bills they have and their 4 children may need like food, diapers, wipes, etc. as they will both be out of work when treatment is happening in Boston.
