Justin Smithey's fight against a brain tumor

Donation protected
On September 19th, Justin Smithey and his family received news that no one should ever hear. Justin has a brain tumor... From the first call that something might be wrong, to his diagnosis at Anschutz, the family has found out only limited information. The tumor has implanted on the right side of Justin's brain and is roughly the size of a quarter. The only solid answers the family has at this point is that the tumor is inoperable. September 21st the Anschutz team was able to take Justin back to surgery to take a biopsy of the tumor and place a drainage tube to help with the swelling. Results of this biopsy will take an estimated 10 days. During this waiting period Justin will remain at Anschutz under close supervision to monitor the swelling and his pain levels. Limited visitors are allowed at hospital due to COVID restrictions. So the few family members that have been approved to come in, will be taking a significant amount of time off of work to stay by Justin's side. Medical bills are already piling high as the doctor's search for answers and try to keep Justin comfortable as they wait. If you can support Justin and his family in any way, it would be a massive weight off their shoulder's as they stand by his side during this incredibly scary and unknown time. "I've beat fishing records, I'll beat this too."
