Help the Dizzy Llama survive COVID-19! ❤️
The Dizzy Llama needs your help!
If we are to stay in business and not lose our bar, which we love so much, we have no choice but to ask for help. Because of Covid-19 we have been closed over 150 days with no income at all and we are in danger of closing our doors forever due to situations beyond our control. With no end in sight, we turn to you, our friends, neighbors, and community, and humbly appeal to your generosity... to ask that you be part of the bridge that helps us over this difficult time. ❤️ 8 years ago, we opened the Dizzy Llama in hopes of giving people a place to relax, have a drink, gather, let loose, have fun and escape the difficulties of life. A place that you KNOW you can walk into and feel welcome. And we have enjoyed every minute of it. We genuinely care about all of our customers. We’d close the bar early in a heartbeat if someone needed a safe ride home and have done it many times. We also always try to make sure everyone has a good time.
Although we haven’t been allowed to open for 150 days, the landlord still wants rent, the state and county still want their taxes, and so on. We are trying to make room for a small kitchen so that we can apply for the food and beverage permit that TABC has changed some of the guidelines for. We have done everything we can to make it this far. We have applied for any and all funding available and borrowed from anyone we could. We are grateful for the help we have received, but sadly, it isn’t enough to sustain us any longer. The recent order to stay closed is the one that hurt the most. We can no longer keep up with the bills. If you know me or Phil, you know asking for help isn’t something we do easily. We have no choice if we are to survive this pandemic.
Even in the best of times, it can be difficult to survive as a small business in a small town and we now face an uncertain future. The past due bills will still be there even if we are allowed to open soon. Even then, it will likely be under greatly restricted conditions and with limited capacity at first. With your help, we stand ready to do it.
We know times are tough for everyone and wish we did not have to do this. No donation is too small! If you cannot help in this way, we completely understand. If you can please share this page and help us get the word out, we would greatly appreciate it. All proceeds will go directly to our mounting bills and they will legitimately help keep our doors open so we can be here when bars are allowed to open. Thank you ahead of time for any help! We truly appreciate any and all of it. Let’s get through this together, so we can all meet for a drink again at The Dizzy Llama!
