Surgery for Apple Crisp

Hey guys, Many of you are familiar with “Apple Crisp” AKA “Krispy”, but for those of you who aren’t, let me give a brief background. Apple Crisp was used to breed fighting dogs for the first 7-8 years of her life. It was only after they couldn’t use exploit her any more that they got rid of her. She was in foster care for 3 years before she made her way to me. The minute I saw her sweet brown eyes, I knew she was mine. She and I met in January of this year and we’ve been close ever since. She is now 11 and has a host of issues stemming from both old age and her many years of abuse. She was not spayed until a little while before I got her. Unfortunately, female dogs who aren’t spayed early on In life are very apt to developing mammary tumors, which Krispy has. We got the tumor that worried me the most aspirated, and the results seemed to indicate malignancy. The vets want to get her tumors removed and to be biopsied. Surgery is going to cost between $1,400 and $1,800 (depending on the surgery length when they actually start working on her). I hate to have to ask for help, but I will do anything for my sweet baby. Her life has been so rough and sad and I’m doing my best to spoil her and make up for the mistreatment she has suffered. Surgery is on September 28th, so if you could donate or even just share this campaign, I would be so grateful.
