Help Keep My Baby Home

So this is going to be long but I need to tell my story. My name is Brittany I am from Crowley la On September 7 2018 my entire world changed. A little boy was born that stole my entire heart. This little boy was born to two parents who couldn’t/didn’t want to care for him. Drugs, unstable living environment, neglect, etc were just a few of the things this baby went through. I stayed in touch and helped as much as I possibly could but I didn’t know how much I could really do. At about 3 months old I began caring for him solely. Mother and father (nor the family of the two) reached out to check on him. I have provided for this baby boy on my own 100% with the moral support of my family of course. So many people have accepted this little boy as their family but I have taken him in as my SON. I am the only mother this child knows. Everything sounds great right? Happy baby, safe environment, cared for 100%, loved more than the world. Well here is my problem. After 2 YEARS the “mother” of this child wants to step in and take him from me. After NEVER helping with this baby in the last 2 years or hardly even checking on him she decides (bc she is forced to by her family) that she wants to take me to court to take him from me permanently with no visitation. I have been fighting this battle since October 2019. I have never been one to ask for anything from anyone but it’s come to a point where I financially can’t afford to go much longer on my own as a single mother. I need your help. I can’t lose my boy, my world, my heart, MY SON. GIVING BIRTH DOESN’T MAKE YOU A MOTHER. Please help me to pay attorney/court fees to fight as hard as we can to keep him home with me (his MOTHER).
