Vigil Family Medical Fund

If you are a friend of Anne and Eduardo Vigil, you have been blessed. And you are not alone. They have blessed more people with their love and friendship than we can count. You may also know that Anne and family have courageously dealt with her cancer for years and continue that brave fight.

You may not know that Anne and Eduardo recently took a mini vacation to visit their daughter Lucy and her fiancé in Bismarck, North Dakota. On their way home, they had planned see some sights, including Devil’s Tower and Mt. Rushmore, but unfortunately had a serious car accident in a remote area. Anne suffered two broken wrists, a broken elbow and broken ribs and was medevac’d to a hospital in Rapid City, where she has been for the last two weeks. Anne's fractures have immobilized both hands for now, which adds to the challenges they continue to confront with her cancer.

Thankfully, Eduardo was not seriously injured and they will be returning home soon.

Many friends have asked what they can do to help, so we are creating this Go Fund Me request. Please consider giving any amount. Honestly, we are not sure of the extent of their need, but we know that it will be substantial. So we have set a tentative fund raising goal and will update it, if it becomes necessary. The funds will be used at their discretion, to defray medical expenses, medical transport, in-home care and rehab, expenses incurred on their regular trips to Mass General, other essentials, and to help compensate for anticipated loss of income.
