Help for Expat Mother in Turkey
Donation protected
Super Mum of four Jill Robinson, a well-known community treasure in the small seaside town of Didim, Altinkum has been given 30 days’ notice to leave the country to avoid deportation.
Her close friends from the community have set up this funding page with the goal of helping Jill with shock financial costs that will have a huge impact on the security of her family.
Due to an unannounced law change in 2014 it has been found that foreign business owners in Turkey can no longer have a business without a working permit. Jill owns a small family cleaning and maintenance business since 2012 that relies on the tourism economy within the town which has already decreased by 50 percent on last year.
Jill was called unexpectedly to the immigration institution early this week and given 30 days to leave the country and pay fines and legal fees that are way out her and her family’s reach.
Jill has so many worries to deal with especially as her youngest child is 9 months old and she cannot be away from him or any of her children for an unknown length of time. This has caused uproar in the local community as Jill is such a pro-active charity worker, parental governor of the local primary school and organizer of all expat community events including Easter and Christmas parties. Jill is also the go-to person for helping with paperwork for new expats and she is always willing to drop everything and help anyone with any worry, big or small without any pay back expected.
The money donated will be used towards the unachievable legal costs and fees, travel costs for Jill and all 4 children incurred by this unjustifiable situation.
Please kindly help our community in easing this horrendous situation for such a cherished mother and community member.
