25K for Recovery

On February 28, 2015 my older brother died from an accidental Fentanyl overdose. He struggled with drug use, but he was fighting to recover and had made amazing strides when this happened.

Friday, May 12th is Stefan's birthday, and I am hoping to honour him by raising money for an organization that helps men in our community recover and thrive while battling addictions/mental health issues.

I plan to run 25 kilometres; Stefan was only 25 when he died.

My ask? One $25 donation for the Fresh Start Recovery Centre. Of course, if that amount isn't doable, any amount will do. Let's help smash the stigma, and support, rather than judge those who are struggling. Let's raise money in Stefan's honour. Every day I carry with me the sadness and regret that he was never able to live to his full potential and explore the beauty of this world.
