Sabina's medical fund
Donation protected
On July 3, 2014 Sabina was diagnosed with Leuemia and nearly lost her life. On March 31, 2015 Sabina recieved a sucessful bone marrow transplant at Rush University in Chicago. Because of the intense chemotherapy, she became paralyzed. Due to the massive side effects from the treatments leaving her unable to walk, Sabina and her family were forced to find an alternative form of transportation. One that could fit her needs for comfort and care.
While transportation is a major necessity for Sabina's care, it is just one of many things shes had to fight her insurance on. Being a bone marrow recipient entails many visits to Chicago, countless doctor's appointments, physical therapy, medical supplies for at home needs, and what seems like an endless list of medications.
To those who didn't know Sabina beforehand, she has worked in the medical field since she was 19. While she started out as an Aid, she realized that she wanted to use her talents at becoming a nurse. In 2011 Sabina recieved her nursing degree.
Along with a life changing career, Sabina also has a supportive family. Shes been married to her husband, John, for 13 years and they have two children together. Daughter Alyssa is 17 and son Jonathon is 11.
With your generous donation, you will enable Sabina to regain some normalcy to her life and on behalf of her family, they'd like to extend their grattitude for everyone who has been involved in this fight.
