Help Ashley Fight Leukemia

Donation protected
Ashley Robben is one of the kindest and strongest humans you will ever meet. She is a state cross-country and track champion, a fierce competitor and over-comer. But Ashley is now facing her toughest battle yet, Acute Myeloid Leukemia.

This fundraiser is being created on behalf of Ashley's cross-country family, church family, and Staples/Motley Cardinal village. All money raised will go directly to Ashley and her family to help with medical bills, travel expenses and other needs.

Until recently, Ashley was competing at a collegiate level in cross-country, at Minnesota State University Moorhead, just 2 hours from her home in Staples, MN. It was her unusual shortness of breath and months of extreme unexplainable fatigue that lead her to yet another urgent care visit on October 17th, in-between practices. The outcome was her cancer diagnosis.

Ashley’s mother, Kathy, heads the Staples/Motley Cross-Country Booster Club and was preparing to cheer on her two youngest sons in the conference race when she got the news. Plans were made to bring Ashley home for treatment, but those plans fell apart once doctors got a clearer picture of the type of cancer Ashley is battling.

Ashely is currently hospitalized in Fargo and has started chemotherapy. Unfortunately, the cancer is present in Ashley's spine and bone marrow, meaning she will eventually need a bone marrow transplant.

Ashley's 3 brothers are all in the process of being tested as possible bone marrow matches. Insurance will only cover the cost of testing for one brother. If none of Ashley's brothers are a match, she will need to be put into the national database in hopes of finding someone. This is a lengthy and costly process. The sooner a match is found, the better.

While undergoing all of this, Ashley has been able to transfer 3 of her classes to online and is keeping up with her studies from her hospital room. She is a fighter, but this battle is not going to be easy - for her or her family. The Robbens have always been great cheerleaders in our community. Help us now return the favor.

Please donate what you can and thank you.

Another way you can help is by praying. The Robben family is asking for complete healing and no fevers so Ashley's treatments can continue uninterrupted. Also, pray for strength during these long and painful periods of treatment and isolation.

Thank you for your prayers, money and support. Together, we can help Ashley win.
