Scott's Motor Cycle Accident Fund

Donation protected
On Wednesday, March 2nd, 2016, Scott Hurler was invovled in a serious motercycle accident. He was driving down the 202 Red Mountain, east bound, on his way home from work. He was on his bike in the HOV lane, and a driver in a blue honda pulled out in front of him going significantly slower, and caused Scott to rearend him, throwing him off of his bike, over the car, and rolling about 50 ft. from the initial impact.  The driver fled the scene, and DPS has still not been able to locate him.

He was taken to the hospital for his injuries which included sever roadrash over his whole body, bruising, and several broken bones. Thanks to his helmet, his head was protected, and he survived this accident with just those injuries.

He is now recovovering, but his struggles aren't over yet.  He is required to take time off of work, and will have to cover the cost of the accident, along with whatever help his insurance may offer, since the driver has yet to be located. He is looking at many medical expenses, expenses for his bike, and loss of wages from time taken off of work.

Scott is involved with the American Legion Riders at Post 91, who serve their community through military funeral escorts, other military escorts, and many veteran fund raisers throughout their community. His bike was not only his freedom, but a way for him to serve his community and give back to his brothers and sisters in the armed forces, both past and present. As a Marine himself, he takes great pride in his country, his service, and the armed forces as a whole.

Scott is a hard working man, in his job, his community, and his home. Always going the extra mile for anyone who asks it of him, without question or asking anything in return. He's well loved in his community for many reasons, and now it's time for him to get back a little of what he gives so much to everyone else.

Scott and his family are forever grateful that he survived this accident, and that he is home, and recovering. We are asking for a little help going through the struggle on the road to full recovery.

Any little bit helps.

Thank You

God Bless

And always wear a helmet on your bikes, folks! That has saved Scott's life twice now!!
