Help Elizabeth & Moon Stay In Their Apartment

Hi everyone, I really *really* hate having to do this but 2020 continues to be a dumpster fire and I had to quit my job due to health issues this week. As some of you might know, I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease this year. It could be rheumatoid arthritis or it could be lupus...the lab results and symptoms have so far been all over the place.I started a new treatment in July which seemed to really be helping and began a new job I enjoyed and which had great health insurance. But disaster struck about a month in and the treatment stopped working. I had to miss multiple days of work without any PTO to cover it and I also didn't qualify for FMLA yet. I had to make the heart-breaking decision to resign from my position this week.This is the third job I've lost in less than a year due to my autoimmune disease and I'm at a turning point. After reviewing my options with the specialist, I don't see being able return to the workforce without major medical advances.Your donation would help keep me and Moon the Cat in our apartment (plus utilities, food and health insurance premiums) long enough to start the arduous process of applying for disability and getting on a list for income restricted housing. I'm one of those weird people who actually enjoys working so I'll also be looking into whether I can work a small part-time job and still qualify for disability.
