Help for Shereen's Family
Our good friend Shereen Oliver Starr, passed away after a life long battle with an increasingly damaged pancreas and the chronic pain that accompanied it.
She was surrounded by her family and friends.
In what would be her final attempt to conquer the pain, she opted for surgery over being bedridden.
She said she needed to have the chance to live a "normal life", to be able to play with her kids without being in any pain.
At first the surgery appeared successful, she even cried at being able to eat a pizza pop for the first time in ten years, but it wasn't to last.
She was re-admitted a week later, just before Easter.
Her husband Steve faithfully stayed by her side.
This, this is Love.
She fought on under the very best care, but in the end, the damage, stress, and pain had become too great.
She was 37.
She leaves behind her three daughters ages 4, 9 and 17, husband, and grieving family.
The family was already struggling as Shereen's mother just passed away this past year.
The loss of a loved one is tragic in of itself, however losing two matriarch's in the span of one year has proven devastating emotionally as well as now financially.
If anyone would like to contribute any monumental support to the family to help ease some of the memorial costs, it would Sincerely be appreciated.
May you Rest in Peace old friend.
