soon to be homeless, please help

Hey everyone,

So, my living situation fell through.

Because of this, I’m going to be moving states again. I don’t have an exact place lined up yet, but there is one place I am being highly considered at.

This move is necessary for my well-being and not a flippant decision; I spoke to friends extensively before I made this decision, and came to the realization that my health was degrading severely in the state I currently reside in. Along with this, and due to lack of access to medical aid, I had to reconsider remaining where I was.

I did research, and based on that, as well as my prior moving experiences, here is a breakdown of what I need to make this move a reality:

$200 for the plane ticket to get back to the state I am located in (I was visiting family because my mom has cancer)

roughly $1700 for the moving truck (which could become more expensive), I’m going to need to hire movers because I can’t lift items myself, which will also cost a couple hundred

It’s going to be easily over $500 for gas plus costs for food and board while traveling (the cheapest motels are usually around $100 a night), I expect the trip to be 4 days

And finally, the cost for rent for that first month or so (roughly $1k seems to be the norm, I am being considered for a cheaper place but because it’s not confirmed yet, I want to be prepared).

All the while, I can’t do much to make money with the time I need to unpack and get settled in. I am currently doing everything I can using hustle culture apps, but moving is going to be exhausting, so any support would help me preserve my health and well-being during this time.

There’s also the couple hundred dollar costs to get established in a new state, such as having to change my license and plate numbers and any bills that may come up in the meantime during that transition.

Because of all of this, I am graciously asking to raise about $5k. This is overshooting a bit, but I want to be on the safe side in case anything unexpected happens, which has unfortunately been the norm for me.

I hate to do this again but if I can’t make this move I’ll likely become stranded/homeless, so it really means a lot to me if you could help out.
