Safe passage for a family's future

Donation protected
As a pandemic, climate change, and global economic and political crises converge, we in the USA are seeking out practices and means to protect ourselves and our families. We are lucky to have the means, or even the option to take measures for our wellbeing. Though times are increasingly difficult, my new little toddler does not face the threats that my friend's new little one does. Currently, my friend in Nigeria, his partner, and new child, have narrowly survived a year of coronavirus, typhoid, malaria, starvation, and environmental disaster. They face all this under neo-colonial conditions we simply cannot fathom. No electricity, little to no access to food, clean water, and medicine, rampant corruption and daily violence. Take a moment to imagine facing this, as conditions and the situation worsen rapidly. Currently Nigeria now has massive protests and unrest adding to the dire situation. Violence, curfews, and censorship/isolation have escalated and my friend faces a scary reality. With no other options, fleeing the powder keg of Nigeria is my friends last option, which carries it's own frightening risks. Imagine seeking asylum in a neighboring country with literally nothing, no means whatsoever, just your family and the hope that you can survive a new struggle! Please support this *time sensitive* campaign to help my friend's dear and loving family seek asylum in a neighboring country, by providing them with some means to secure a visa, travel, shelter and food, before it's too late. Please contribute in solidarity with their struggle to survive.
