McCaslin Family Flood Relief Fund

Last week my coworker, Ed McCaslin, and his family were victims of the flooding in Baton Rouge and surrounding areas.  There was a record amount of rain, over 2ft in 48 hours, that caused flooding in areas that have never experienced any type of water issues before. At the peak, Ed's home had over 4 feet of water inside. Since these areas have never had issues with flooding Ed and countless others did not have flood insurance.  Unfortunately this means he will receive minimal assistance to rebuild and replace everything that was lost. 

I assisted Ed and his wife Sue throw away all of their possessions including their daughter Macy's clothes, toys, bed, etc..  They ended up having to gut their home- throw away all furniture, appliances and possessions, pull up floors and tear down all the sheetrock.  Also, both of their cars were under water to their dashboards.

I know many have wanted to help but did not know how so I wanted to create a platform where coworkers, family and friends could offer assistance.  Coming back from losing everything will be a long road hopefully we can help to make this a bit easier.  All proceeds will go directly to Ed.
