Westwind Estates Residents Need Our Help!

As many of you have heard, approximately 65 homes in Westwind Estates Mobile home Park just received a 60-day termination of tenancy. This means they will have to sell, move, or forfeit, their homes in two months. In February, the Department of Housing and Community Development did a Health and Safety inspection and found violations for both residents and the landlord. Many corrections were made but not "checked off" so we are working on getting that rectified. There were some corrections not made due to lack of understanding, improper notification, financial reasons, etc. I'm working closely with Forrest Gardens to see what we can do to lift up our neighbors in their time of need.
