JEFF FERREIRA NEEDS A KIDNEY

For those of you that don't know, my brother who means the world to me, has been struggling with an autoimmune disease called ANCA. The first sign was a dissected carotid artery that caused two strokes. He fought that battle and moved on. The second sign was when his kidneys started failing. That was almost 4 years ago. It was then he was diagnosed with ANCA, a rare autoimmune disease that attacks your veins and organs. Now that the ANCA is finally under control after massive chemo treatments (don't worry that head of hair is still marvelous) and a wait period, he can receive the kidney transplant that he desperately needs. This process is a long one- longer than one would expect and it starts with dialysis while all the tests and wait periods are followed for the living donor. Jeff is the absolute BEST and would never ask for anything while he continues with a struggle one should never have to endure- so I'm reaching out to friends and family.

Jeff is a 50 year old husband and father of two with the most positive disposition and in need of a kidney transplant. Please help us reach our goal so that Jeff may get the pre-treatments, a transplant and eventually temporary housing (close to the hospital) that he desperately needs. This process starts today and won't finish for months.

When Jeff and I were little we'd watch and play The Wonder Twins- twin brother and sister superheroes who had super twin powers. The Wonder Twins powers are activated with a fist pound Hahahaha and they'd say, "Wonder Twin powers activate!"
