Kayla’s courageous fight (Jen Ferreira)

Hey everyone, I am writing this on behalf of an incredibly deserving family who tragically lost one of their loved ones, 23 yr old, Kayla. Kayla lost her battle with mental illness on November 6, 2020. She fought hard for years but sometimes the world just becomes too much for even the strongest people. Kayla will always be remembered by her loved ones as an incredibly kind, spirited and determined woman. She was a lover of all things living, stood up to injustice without questioning and walked to the beat of her own drum. Even on her darkest days Kayla was able to make everyone laugh. Her sense of humour was incredible and she will be missed so much, by many. Kayla’s mom, Jen is a single mother of 4 and she has dedicated her life to help others as a nurse. Now it’s our time to help her. The monies raised will go towards funeral costs as well as giving the family time to heal.
