Help Luna walk again

Hi everyone! For those of you that don’t know me, my name is Shannon. I’m from upstate New York and currently living Hendersonville, TN. I am posting on behalf of my precious puppy, Luna. She’s a five-year-old beagle mix who has been by my side since she was a few months old. Two days ago, I woke to find my energetic, lively, spastic best friend was unable to use her back legs. I took her to the vet where they determined she has a slipped disc that is crushing her spinal cord and left her paralyzed from the waist down. Unfortunately, we don’t know how it happened, And they say it could have been caused by something as simple as jumping off the couch. I am devastated. Everybody who knows me knows that Luna is the love of my life. She has been my sidekick, travel partner, shotgun rider, and best friend since the day that I got her, and it kills me to see her in such pain and discomfort. She’s the happiest pup I’ve ever known, and to watch her lying in bed unable to walk or use the bathroom on her own is more unbearable than I could ever describe to you. She is my world. I love her more than anything and will do whatever it takes to get her better. With this said, she’s going to need a lot of extra help going forward. With the growing vet bills, cost of medication, physical therapy, and the extra expenses such as diapers, pads, wipes, and dog sitters when I can’t bring her into work, I am asking for any help in getting my baby back to her happy, crazy, spunky self. This fundraiser will also help to support the medical costs of a potential surgery, follow up vet visits/tests, and/or long-term physical therapy and possible wheelchair down the road if she’s unable to walk again. Either route will lead us down a prolonged and expensive path, but I’m hopeful she will recover. Please feel free to reach out and ask me anything at all.
