Help Adam get to the Ironman World Championships

As many of my friends and family know, I love to compete and have always been involved in athletics. After college soccer, I found myself in need of another way to push myself and compete with others. I have always loved anything that has to do with cardio so I naturally gravitated towards triathlons. After only competing in two sprint triathlons and having done a 50k trail race, in October 2020 I decided to set a goal that seemed almost impossible - Race the Chattanooga Ironman triathlon in Oct 2021, win my age group, and qualify for the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii. I dedicated my life to that singe goal - I woke up at 5 am to swim, biked or ran late into the night, trained in any kind of weather.
The first real test of my hard work was a half ironman race in Alabama. After 4 hours of racing, I found myself at the front of the race and got second by only 8 seconds. It was a very encouraging result but I still had a long way to go. With the incredible support of my wife, family, and friends, I didn't stop and continued to push hard through the summer and into the fall. With around 15-20 hours of training a week, I was definitely getting burnt out but was reminded by my wife that the best things in life are hard and require pushing through discomfort.
When it finally got to race day, I was confident that I had done everything in my ability to prepare for one of the biggest days of my life. After 10 hours of racing, I passed the only competitor ahead of me in my age group and won by only 2 minutes. It was official - I was one of a select few that would get to represent my age at the Ironman World Championships in Hawaii.
The thing about racing in the world championships is that it is very expensive. Race entry alone is $1,200, but I also have to rent a place to stay, get a rental car, ship my bike, and the list goes on. I also want to be able to compete to the best ability so I need to hire a coach and do races prior to the world championships in order to prepare. The numbers have quickly added up for a young couple. So, I am humbly asking for help as I pursue this goal to the best of my ability. I have been blessed with many friends and family that have told me they would love to help in some way. The truth is that the best way to help is financially. I am beyond grateful for any support and am going to document my progress along the way so everyone can follow along. I am blessed to have this opportunity and cannot wait to compete with the best in the world. THANK YOU!!!
