On November 4th, after a steady fever and vomiting, Mike and Ashley's daughter, Peyton, was admitted to CHOP. After a week of no answers, Peyton was diagnosed with viral and bacterial pneumonia, and her appendix burst. She got a drain put in, as a large abcess had caused a blood infection, and they needed to get rid of some of it before she could have surgery. As of last night, her fevers returned, and an ultrasound showed more infection. Today, November 13th, she is getting a 2nd drain and they will put in a PICC line to help her get nutrients and medication in her.
Ashley just started a new job a few weeks ago, and unable to be paid right now, and Mike has had to take this time off too.
At this point, we do not know how long Princess P will need to be in the hospital. With unknown medical costs, various costs of being at the hospital, and the holidays coming up, we would like to help take some of the stress off of Mike and Ashley, so they can focus on Peyton.
We appreciate all the thoughts, prayers, meals, and gifts for our little love.
*A food train has also been set up to assist with helping Mike's mom mom and Ashley's mom with Lexi and Carter at home.
