Terry Westhoff Medical Fund

On Sunday May 29th, 2016, my 39 year old brother Terry Westhoff suffered a heart attack known as "The Widowmaker".  He had a blockage in his LAD.  These lead to sudden cardiac arrest.  Thanks to excellent prehospital care by his wife Becky, fire and EMS we were able to get him to the hospital with a pulse.  Thanks to excellent hospital care by Freeman ER, Cath Lab, CVICU nurses, respiratory therapy and all the doctors, my brother is still alive but in critical condition.  It is a blessing we still have him with us and that he has made it this far because that isn't the case for most who have this kind of heart attack.  Unfortunately, nobody knows how this story is going to end.  He has had a stent placed and the blockage removed but he did go without oxygen for a period of time.  He may or may not have brain damage and we won't know anything until they start to wean him off of sedation.  He is having trouble maintaining his body temperature, regulating his own blood pressure and his own heart rate.  Becky has not left his side and remains at the hospital.  
 
Like most families, they are a two income household and cannot function on just one income.  If Terry can pull through this, he will not be able to work for a long period of time.  Becky is taking time away from work to stay by his side.  They still have a teenager that lives at home and bills are going to start pouring in.  Regular household bills are going to be due soon as well.  We are asking for some hlep to keep bills current and pay medical bills so that Becky can remain at the hospital with Terry.  If you can't donate money, please donate prayer.  Pray for his family and help pull him through this!  We want to thank everyone for everything they have done and are continuing to do.  It gives us hope that we will have Terry back with us.  Thank you so much!
