Marissa's Medical/Recovery Fund
I am trying to raise money to help pay some of the expenses that came with my first brain surgery as well as the second brain surgery I am having soon.
I first figured out that I had a brain tumor when I went to my eye doctor due to having blurry vision and seeing double. They told me to go to the ER where they found what they thought was an egg sized tumor which ended up being tennis ball sized when they took it out.
The tumor is called Pleomorphic Xanthoastrocytoma (PXA). It is a rare type of tumor that they aren't too familiar. One thing they thought they knew about it is that once it is fully removed (which I had done) it shouldn't grow back. Unfortunately, 3 new spots grew back and they are very curious as to why it grew back which is kind of why I'm having the 2nd surgery. Making sure they take as much out as possible before it gets too big.
That all being said, I appreciate all of the support I have had throughout all of this and any donation would help. Thank you.
