Looking to add to our family through IVF
Kip and I met in 2002 while I was doing my student teaching at
the same school he was working at. Our relationship grew and we got married in
December of 2004. We wanted to enjoy our time together before we starting
thinking about having children.
So in 2006, we decided that it was time for us to start trying.
We tried every month for a year and realized that something was wrong. We then
both started getting some tests done to see if we could get an answer and none
were found. We then made an appointment to see a reproduction endocrinologist.
They claimed it was unexplained infertility. SO NO ANSWERS....
We decided to do an IUI (intrauterine insemination). It failed
TWICE! The doctor then suggested that our best bet was to do IVF. We were lucky
enough to have help from our families for the expenses (over $15,000 which
includes the procedure and all the medications).
On March 9th, 2011 we were truly blessed with our little girl
Marlee Grace. We treasure and love her more than words can express.
This past summer we wanted to try again for another bundle of
joy with a frozen embryo transfer. It failed. We tried second time and that
failed as well. We are now out of embryos but still want to grow our family.
This is it. We want to try one more time. Physically,
emotionally, and financially we can't keep doing this. For people that know us
well, you know that asking for help is one of the hardest things for us. If you
can help (any amount helps), we would greatly appreciate the opportunity to
love someone else as much as we love Marlee. Your prayers and thoughts are much
appreciated as well.
Thank so much for taking time to read our story.
Sincerely,
Becky, Kip, and Marlee
