Langhorne Firefighter battling cancer

Donation protected
John Scheetz is a dedicated community member who is battling his fifth round of cancer.  John is a long-time volunteer firefighter and life member of the Langhorne-Middletown Fire Company.  He currently serves as a Trustee and is our past President. He has also served several terms as a Langhorne Borough Councilman.

John is a very prideful person who will want to kill us for posting this request for help, but John has been there for our community when the residents are in need and we are asking for you to help be there for him.

John was diagnosed with cancer three and half years ago and has had numerous surgeries and treatments during that time.  This includes having his one kidney removed.  John’s most recent diagnosis will result in a major surgery in January that will include removing his bladder and prostrate.  He has been out of work without pay for the last seven weeks and will continue to be out of work for the next three months at a minimum.  John is still awaiting the approval of his short-term disability, however that will never make up for his current lost wages.

We know it is a tough time of year during a pandemic but we ask that you consider sending a contribution to help offset John and his wife’s living expenses.  We know he would do the same for you.

Sincerely,
The Officers and Members of the Langhorne-Middletown Fire Company.
