Bringing Danny Home

Many of you know, Danny Remington was one of the unlucky ones that COVID had a devastating impact on his health. After 75 days in the ICU, 43 of those on full ECMO support, Danny is still continuing his healing in long-term care and hopefully rehab very soon. But as he reaches the next stage in his healing, his wife, Shannon, is faced with the very real possibility that their home won't suit his needs. Things such as bathroom modifications, a wheelchair ramp leading into the house, a lightweight wheelchair for transport to and from doctors' appointments, and a whole house reorganization are absolutely necessary before Danny comes home.  Shannon has done amazing things with the family's budget during Danny's illness, but couple these with their out-of-pocket insurance costs that will likely hit $10,000, all of these are currently impossible. On top of that, the family's financial resources will only last for a couple more months. While the family's needs will likely last long into 2021, this will at least carry them part of the way.
