Courtney's Medical Expenses

We have started this GoFundMe page to allow people to donate to Courtney Baker’s medical expenses.
At midnight on Monday, May 30th, Courtney was found by friends convulsing and having seizure like symptoms on a house boat at Lake Powell. When they were unable to get a response from her, 911 was called and she was taken by ambulance to the Page Hospital. Because she had not been feeling well with fever, back ache, headache, and stiff neck, they began treating her immediately for meningitis. When they were unable to give her the proper care she needed, Courtney was life-flighted to Banner Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix around 2 a.m. Courtney was immediately admitted to the neuro ICU unit and was intubated and heavily sedated so that they could continue with treatment of antibiotics and perform the necessary tests needed to come up with a diagnosis, such as; MRI, EEG, and lumbar puncture. After a very frightful 24+ hours, with little to no answers, Courtney began showing slight signs of improvement. Tests came back negative for bacteria, so the search continues to find a diagnosis for our Coco, meaning her stay in the hospital can be prolonged that much further. EEG tests continue to follow her brain activity. Thankfully with treatment, time and prayers, Courtney is slowly, yet miraculously, improving each day; but is still in need of further care and treatment as they search for answers. She is alert now and can make eye contact and is trying to speak. We trust that through blessings and prayer, that Courtney will continue to get strong and continue healing, and that the doctors will be blessed to find the answers needed to further her care.
