In Gratitude for Manuela Hernandez

Manuela Hernandez is my dear friend. She came into my life when I first started my daughter in school. It was JR Pre-K at Our Lady Of Lourdes. She worked at the school for 10 years, and if it wasn’t for Covid, this year would be just as amazing as any other with her. I was amazed at how she handled so many tiny children at one time. She comforted them and encouraged them to make it through their days as they grew to enjoy coming to school. She is a unique person. One of a kind. You can’t find many people like her, with such a kind, caring, compassionate heart. She is extremely giving, and would give you the shirt off her back, which is what she did when she brought soup or different kinds of treats for the children who had issues eating the school lunches. Lol. “Ms.Hernandez” as we all knew her, was very good at teaching children their abc’s, sing alongs, respect, and manners as she encouraged their learning. She knew when a child needed extra love, and never let a child feel alone. Ms. Hernandez knows how to make you laugh and smile. She can make anyone’s day brighter by the spirit in her heart. Ms.Hernandez is battling stage 4 cancer. She is in hospice and peaceful surrounded by her two children Viviana and Gabriel, her family and friends as she has completed her service to God here on earth with His little children. She has touched so many lives in the church and school community. There is no way to have lived that dash - than the example this honorable woman has lived. In Manuela’s honor, and with gratitude for her service to so many children, I am reaching out and asking that we come together and support her loved ones with the financial hardship incurred by medical expenses and future needs for memorial expenses.
