Covid19 death of loving husband creates hardship

My dad, Robert C Shuey, who meant everything to me, died unexpectedly on December 2nd, after having succumb to COVID-19.

All of you who knew my dad, Bob Shuey, know what a wonderful, giving, loving and gregarious man he was.  Bob leaves behind his wife, Kim, 3 grown children, 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.  No one was expecting that he would be taken by COVID-19, or so suddenly.  Sadly, Bob had no life insurance, nor will his union pension be extended to his wife Kim.  Recent medical bills for dads Rehabilitation after previous medical issues have left Kim wondering how she will get them paid.  The medical bills alone exceed the small nest egg that she and dad were able to save.  If Kim is forced to sell their house, she will certainly be paying more for rent per month than her current house payment is, so that really isn’t an option.  Only 2 days after dad’s death and Kim is spending her time trying to find employment during a COVID-19 pandemic shutdown. This breaks my heart. My dad and Kim have worked very hard to try to get their house paid off, and they were close to making that happen, but without my dad’s pension, it will be very difficult.  Over my dad’s lifetime I can’t count the number of people he helped without question, and I am now asking those of you who knew him to please help.  If I can raise my goal, we should be able to pay off the house, cover the medical bills and give Kim the security that my dad wanted to give her.  

I hope that everyone understands that I’m not asking for your donations for myself. The donations collected will go directly to Kim, to help her move forward and to help secure the roof over her head. She was dad’s angel from heaven in his final days, and I know without a doubt that his primary concern was making sure that she would be able to keep their modest home.  I’m asking all of those who knew dad, and know how giving he was, to please pay if forward and do whatever you can to help me in this goal.  Your contribution means so much to my family and I.
